Perseverance – Veil
The rich, red lateritic soil, perhaps the most crucial ingredient to the wine of Brown Hill Estate, is highly suggestive of an Australian location. In looking for a unique shot of the vines, I became intrigued with how they looked with the nets.
To create this perspective, I was prone on the ground under the netting of a nearby row of vines.
Print Series: Perseverance
Sabine’s most recent passion project was to follow Margaret River winemakers Brown Hill Estate for a year. Visiting the estate every two to three weeks, Sabine followed nearly every step in the winemaking process.
True to her documentary style of photography, each image is authentic and natural; nothing is staged.
These images explore the passion, dedication, and connection to nature of this small, family owned and operated winery, as they make wine of the highest quality.
